Ton spent 16 years in advertising as head of design in JWT and eventually along with a business partner putting up a graphic design company Brain Juice Inc. His successful works include, company and brand logo and packaging designs, point of sale materials and a promotional project for a popular alcoholic beverage that earned him an Araw Award nomination for best in illustration and an Araw Award for best in print material for promotions and activation in 1997.
He rekindled his love for painting when his family relocated to Vevey, Switzerland in 2009. Throughout his travels in Europe he was greatly motivated to pursue impressionism and surrealism styles upon seeing the classic works of Van Gogh, Dali, Monet, Chagall and Cezanne. Modern pop surrealist artists such as Ceccoli and Sorren also inspired Ton’s current art style as well.
In 2015 back in the Philippines, Ton had his 1st one man show called “Sabi Sabi”. A show inspired by Philippine old wives tales.
Ton is currently living in Singapore.
